Rain and gusty winds hit Delhi, bring relief from sweltering heat | Watch

Delhi got a welcome respite from the scorching heatwave as Sunday’s rainfall lowered temperatures and improved air quality. The downpour, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, hit various parts of the city.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had warned of strong winds and thunderstorms in the city and advised people to stay indoors for safety.

As per the IMD, heavy rain and storms hit Delhi early in the morning, with wind speeds reaching between 80 and 100 kmph.
