Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday (August 8, 2025) reiterated his vote theft allegations and slammed the Election Commission of India (ECI) for demanding an affidavit under oath from him to support his claims.
Addressing the 'Vote Adhikar Rally' in Bengaluru, Mr. Gandhi alleged that the Election Commission and BJP colluded to steal the Lok Sabha election from people.
"The ECI asks me to file an affidavit and give information under oath. I have taken oath inside the Parliament holding the Constitution," he said. Today when the people are questioning the Election Commission based on data he released, the ECI has shut its website, he alleged.
“ Instead you are saying sign an affidavit, Which is a bigger oath than what we take in Parliament. We have taken that oath, we are saying everything in public and are showing the evidence to you,
