Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the third Vande Bharat Express in Kerala by flagging off the inaugural special train (no. 06652) Ernakulam Junction– KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express on November 8 through videoconferencing. The main event will be held at the Varanasi railway station from where the Prime Minister will flag off three other Vande Bharat services—Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow Junction-Saharanpur, and Firozpur Cantonment-Delhi—as well.
The new Vande Bharat Express between Ernakulam and KSR Bengaluru will be the first inter-State Vande Bharat service for Kerala linking the State with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. With the introduction of this service, 12 pairs of Vande Bharat trains will serve under the Southern Railway jurisdiction.
The KSR Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will traverses major cities of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, before reaching Krishnarajapuram and KSR Bengaluru.
