PM announces relief for Thrissur fireworks blast victims

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced financial assistance for victims of the devastating fireworks unit explosion in Thrissur, expressing grief over the loss of lives.

“I share the grief of those who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the Prime Minister said. He announced financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 each for the injured.
