Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Khurram Zeeshan has dismissed rumours surrounding the alleged death of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, confirming that the PTI chairman is alive and currently being held in Adiala jail. His remarks come amid a wave of unverified claims circulating on Afghan social media accounts earlier this week, alleging Khan had been murdered in custody.
Speaking to ANI, Zeeshan said Khan has been kept in near-total isolation for almost a month, an action he described as a deliberate attempt to pressure the former Prime Minister into leaving Pakistan. He noted that Imran Khan’s family, legal team and senior PTI leaders have been denied access to him despite court orders permitting visits.
“It is very unfortunate. His isolation is a complete violation of human rights," Zeeshan stated. “They are trying to force him into something."
