Eight children were feared dead and several were injured after a temple wall collapsed amid heavy rainfall in Shahpur in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district on Sunday.
The wall of the Hardayal temple was 50 years old. At the time of the incident, earthen shivlings were being made in the Hardayal temple as part of the Sawan festivities.
The rituals were underway when the wall of the temple premises collapsed.
Visuals from the site showed a bulldozer involved in the operation to find survivors.
