New criminal laws to take effect from July 1: Arjun Ram Meghwal

New Delhi : The three new criminal laws will come into force from July 1 and necessary training for their implementation is already underway, Union law and justice minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said on Sunday.

Speaking at a conference on “India’s Progressive Path in the Administration of Criminal Justice System” in Kolkata, the minister of state for law and justice (independent charge) also expressed hope about the nationwide implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
