National Voters Day observed

The 15th National Voters Day was marked with a signature campaign and rally under the aegis of Collector K.M. Sarayu on Saturday.

The event was marked in all 1096 polling centres, taluk offices and voter registration centres here. A signature campaign to create awareness of voting as a democratic right and duty was launched at the new bus stand in Krishnagiri.

The event also witnessed a rally along with silambattam, mayilattam and other folk dance forms to ring in the celebratory spirit of voting in a democracy. The rally that was flagged off at the bus stand concluded at the St.Annal Girls Higher Secondary School.
