Over 100-year-old temple demolished in Pakistan

A new controversy has emerged in Pakistan after a century-old Hindu temple in Siraj village, Narowal in Punjab province has reduced to rubble on 21 August. The Hindu minority in Pakistan has accused that the temple has been deliberately demolished and alleged that the land will be used for adjoining Madrassa.

However, Pakistan authorities have rejected this claim and said the temple structure collapsed after a heavy rain. Now the conflict has prompted for investigation and possible reconstruction of the temple.

According to officials, the temple was established before 100-125 years old on the nearly 1,000 square metres of land in Siraj village that is 130 KM away from Lahore.
