Man and son wanted in double murder case surrender at Periyakulam court

Two persons - father and son -surrendered before a magistrate court in Periyakulam in Theni district on Friday in connection with a double murder case reported in Bodi Taluk police station on Thursday.

The two accused - Sivakumar and his son Pradeep - allegedly murdered two persons - Nikila (wife of Pradeep) and Vivek (brother of Nikila).

It is said that Nikila and Pradeep were married only three months ago. However, there was a domestic quarrel between them as Pradeep reportedly consumed liquor and was jobless. Annoyed, his wife left for her parents house. However, after a compromise, reached a week ago, they lived together. But, as they began quarrelling again, Nikila left for her house.
