A low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal at 5.30 a.m. on Tuesday (September 2, 2025), the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has said.
It is likely to become more marked over the same region during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards across Odisha during the subsequent 24 hours.
The low pressure area has formed under the influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar coast.
