Workers of the Communist Party of IndiaIndiaIndia (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) on Thursday held a demonstration near the Indira Gandhi Statue in Puducherry to condemn the recent fuel and LPG price hike.
The workers raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance government for adding to the burden on the public by increasing the prices of petrol and diesel. CPI secretary A. M. Saleem, CPI (M) secretary S. Ramachandran, former legislator N. Kalainathan and senior Communist leaders participated in the protest.
