
Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra’s Param Sundari in trouble for flirty church scene, Christian Group asks for removal
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor are set to make a comeback to the big screens with Param Sundari, which is set to release in August 2025. Tushar Jalota-directed romantic comedy film that revolves around the story of two people from North and South Indian who unexpectedly fall for each other.
However, before the release, Sidharth and Janhvi's forthcoming film Param Sundari has landed in the center of a controversy. The film has been criticized over a specific scene that was filmed within a church, with the two actors flirting. A Christian organization has protested against the scene, stating that it offends the religious sentiments of people.
As per a report by Mid-Day, the Watchdog Foundation, a Christian organization, has addressed various authorities calling for the scene to be cut from the film. Their grouse has been forwarded to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Mumbai Police, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, and the Maharashtra government. They are not simply requesting the scene's removal from the movie but also its exclusion from the trailer and all marketing videos.
