Isro returns to the launch pad: The satellite lost in 2021

In a historic milestone for India, on Friday, 2.55 AM, GSLV-F17 carrying EOS-05 was lifted off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota.

The EOS-05 is a state-of-the-art Earth observation spacecraft and India’s first-ever imaging satellite from Geosynchronous orbit, according to ISRO.

GSLV-F17 marks the 19th flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle.

The 51.7 metre tall GSLV-F17 blasted off from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, about 135 km from Chennai, at a prefixed time of 2.55 am, lighting up the dark skies amid rains.
