India produced a courageous performance, overcoming a two-goal deficit to defeat Argentina 4-2 and secure the bronze medal in the FIH Men’s Junior World Cup on Wednesday.
India, who claimed the title in 2016 in Lucknow, missed out on a podium finish in the last two tournaments, ending fourth in Bhubaneswar in 2021 and again two years later in Kuala Lumpur.
India staged a remarkable comeback with Ankit Pal (49th minute), Manmeet Singh (52nd minute), and Anmol Ekka (58th minute) converting penalty corners, while Sharda Nand Tiwari scored from a penalty stroke in the 57th minute.
