India, Israel talk trade and terrorism as Jaishankar meets Gideon Sa’ar in Delhi

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar hailed India as a “global superpower” during his official visit to New Delhi, where he met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Saar praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s early show of solidarity with Israel following the October 7 Hamas attacks, calling India a key strategic partner.

The Israeli foreign minister also vowed “no compromise” on the disarmament of Hamas, calling for the eradication of terror states like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Minister Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and expressed hope that the Gaza Peace Plan would help establish a lasting peace.
