India condemns attack on vessel off Oman coast; 13 Indian crew members rescued, 1 missing

The Ministry of External Affairs has condemned an attack on the commercial vessel MT Al Gaya off the coast of Oman. Out of 14 Indian crew members on board, 13 have been rescued, while search and rescue operations continue for one missing Indian national. The Indian Embassy in Oman remains in contact with local authorities.

The MEA reiterated its call for immediate de-escalation of tensions, dialogue, diplomacy, and the restoration of safe commercial navigation. The development comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the urgent need to secure seafarers' networks during his address at the BRICS Summit and in interactions with global leaders.
