The Bombay High Court has refused actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra permission to travel to Phuket, Thailand, in the first week of October, dismissing their plea seeking suspension of the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them. The LOC was issued in connection with an investigation by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the state police into a Rs 60 crore cheating case.

The couple had cited confirmed bookings for a family trip to Phuket and also highlighted their upcoming international travel plans, including a work trip to Los Angeles from October 21–24 and visits to the Maldives and Colombo from October 26–28 for expansion of their hospitality venture, Hotel Bastian. They further sought permission for travel to London and Dubai between December 20 and January 6, 2026, to meet Kundra’s parents.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A Ankhad directed the state to file a reply to Kundra’s plea by October 8, when the matter will be heard next. Meanwhile, the court did not grant interim relief for overseas travel during the first week of October.
