Former Ranji Cricketer David Johnson Commits Suicide

Mumbai: In what could be called as a piece of sad news for the cricketing fraternity, former India star David Johnson died by suicide on Thursday. Following his death, the cricketing fraternity reacted. Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir was among the first to react. Claiming that he is ‘saddened’ by the death of Johnson, Gambhir hoped that god gives strength to his family.

“Saddened by the passing away of David Johnson. May god give strength to his family and loved ones,” wrote Gambhir on X.

According to sources Johnson too the extreme step as he was suffering from depression.

After receiving the information, Kothanur police visited the spot. His body is taken to Crescent Hospital.
