The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of southeast Wisconsin on August 10. The latest alert, covering southern Washington County and southern Ozaukee counties, has been issued until 8:15 a.m. as heavy rain slowly moves north. According to Country Herald, some areas have already received 5 to 9 inches of rainfall overnight, with additional downpours expected before sunrise.

Due to the severe flash floods that impacted the Milwaukee area, the Wisconsin State Fair was forced to close early on Saturday. Flooding affected multiple counties in southeast Wisconsin on Sunday morning, with videos online showing vehicles stranded in high water, fairgoers evacuating, and others enjoying the rain despite the conditions.

Taking to Facebook, the state fair said, “Attention Fairgoers! The State Fair Park is closing. Please use caution as you make your way to the nearest exit as safely as possible and follow the directions of the Fair Park staff and police as you exit."
