A former BJP sarpanch was killed while a tourist couple from Jaipur was injured on Saturday in two separate terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian and Anantnag districts respectively.
In the first incident, the terrorists opened fire at a former BJP sarpanch, identified as Aijaz Sheikh, in Shopian's Hirpora area at around 10.30 pm, the officials said, adding that he later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
In another incident on Saturday, two people from Jaipur were injured after terrorists opened fire at a tourist camp in UT's Anantnag district.
