Erode (East) bypoll 2025 | First randomisation of polling staff held in Erode
The first randomisation of 1,194 polling staff, who will be deployed in 237 polling stations during the bypoll to Erode (East) Assembly constituency on February 5, was held at the Collectorate on Sunday.
District Election Officer and Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara, in the presence of Returning Officer and Corporation Commissioner N. Manish, carried out the process in the portal of Election Commission of India and allotted duty to polling staff.
Mr. Raja Gopal Sunkara said 284 polling stations, including reserve polling stations of 20%, were established for the bypoll. Each polling booth would have a presiding officer and three polling officers. Thus, 284 presiding officers and 852 polling officers were randomised in polling stations. Also, 58 additional polling officers where there were over 1,200 electors were randomised.
