Elon Musk's Starlink to Provide Connectivity in Gaza for Aid Groups, Raising Israeli Concerns

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said that his Starlink satellite service will support communication links in Gaza with “internationally recognised aid organisations”, prompting Israel’s opposition to the move. Though Musk announced this in a post on social media platform X, it was not clear who has authority for ground links in the densely populated territory.

This move comes as a telephone and internet blackout isolated people in the Gaza Strip as Israel widened its air and ground assault. International humanitarian groups said the blackout, which began late on Friday, was worsening due to the ever-growing need for life-saving operations.
