The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a sweeping organisational reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh as it prepares for the 2027 Assembly elections. In a major restructuring move, the party has replaced all six regional presidents and unveiled a new team of office-bearers.
The revamped team includes 19 vice-presidents, eight general secretaries, and 19 state ministers. Notable among the new vice-presidents are former minister Suresh Rana, Satyapal Saini, Priyanka Rawat, Archana Mishra, Pooja Pal, Suresh Maurya, Rajesh Yadav, and Neeraj Singh, son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The general secretaries named include Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan, Geeta Shakya, Abhijat Mishra, Upendra Rawat, Sanjay Rai, Shankar Lodhi, Dilip Patel, and Rajesh Chaudhary.
Key appointments have also been made in the party's wings: Saroj Kushwaha will lead the women's wing, Rohit Mishra will head the youth wing, and Dinesh Pratap Singh has been named chief spokesperson. Manish Dixit continues as state media coordinator for a fourth consecutive term, while Himanshu Raj Pandit has been appointed social media coordinator.
