The Bangladesh team arrived in Chennai on Sunday, September 15 ahead of their two-match Test series against India. The Najmul Shanto side took a flight from Dhaka and landed in Chennai on Sunday morning just 4 days ahead of the first Test match.

Bangladesh enjoyed a small break at home after their historic Test series win against Bangladesh. Shanto's side blanked Pakistan 2-0 in the Test series played at Rawalpindi. The Bangladesh team received a warm welcome at the airport and checked into the hotel to relax for the rest of the day. The video of the travel was uploaded by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on their social media channels.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 16-member squad for the much-anticipated Test series against India. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the Bangla Tigers as they take on India in a 2-match Test series, starting September 19. The squad was more or less similar to the one that registered a historic series triumph over Pakistan a week ago. Their opening batter Mahmadul Hasan Joy made a return to the Test team after missing out on the Pakistan series. He had suffered a groin injury, which took around two weeks to recover and heal.
