Amar Singh Chamkila duo Diljit Dosanjh, Imtiaz Ali greet paps with namaste on International Emmy Awards 2025 red carpet

The International Emmy AwardsEmmy AwardsEmmy Awards 2025 turned out to be a bittersweet night for India. With the global buzz and emotional wave behind this critical acclaim, people had high anticipation for Amar Singh Chamkila and Diljit Dosanjh, who were nominated for the 53rd edition of the award. While Diljit was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor, the film competed in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category.

However, the film returned without any wins from this year’s ceremony. Diljit also missed out on the Best Actor honour, which went to Oriol Pla, while Amar Singh Chamkila lost the Mini-Series category to Lost Boys & Fairies. Although fans were slightly disappointed, they were also proud of India’s presence at the prestigious global platform.

India placed high hopes on the film, with Diljit Dosanjh nominated for Best Performance by an Actor, competing alongside David Mitchell (Ludwig), Oriol Pla (I, Addict), and Diego Vasquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude)
