In a dramatic turn of events in Delhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was seen climbing over police barricades as he led an opposition march to the Election Commission’s office. The protest, joined by leaders from Congress, TMC, Left parties, and others, centered on allegations of vote looting and irregularities in Meerapur.

Akhilesh accused the government and police of colluding to stop voting through intimidation, even claiming officers fired revolvers to block voters. Despite the EC granting time for a 30-member delegation, around 300 MPs marched towards the office, only to be stopped by heavy police deployment.

Yadav questioned why police were stationed in advance and why the EC has not acted on the evidence presented. The tension escalated as opposition MPs, including Dimple Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, sat on the road in protest after being denied further movement.
