After Milind Deora, Baba Siddique to join Ajit Pawar’s NCP in fresh blow for Congress

On Thursday, Baba Siddique and his MLA son Zeeshan met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar and discussed their next course of action.
His expected joining with the Ajit Pawar camp of the NCP will be significant as the party requires a Muslim face in Mumbai after the BJP shunted former minister Nawab Malik's entry into the mainstream NCP.
On the other hand, Baba Siddique has been on the probe agency's radar since 2017.
Baba Siddique is a three-time MLA from the Bandra (Vandre) West constituency. He was a minister of state for food and civil supplies as well as the chairman of the Mumbai division of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority.
