Abduction charges fly as AAP claims councillor taken to BJP headquarters
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has leveled serious accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that BJP members "kidnapped" its councillor, Ram Chander. The charges emerged amid ongoing tensions as Delhi prepares for MCD elections. Ram Chander, who recently returned to AAP after initially joining the BJP, claimed he was threatened with false ED and CBI cases at BJP headquarters. The BJP has dismissed these allegations as baseless, while both parties continue to engage in a heated exchange over the incident and upcoming elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday accused the BJP of "kidnapping" its councillor Ram Chander, with the saffron party denying the charges even as the "abducted" member returned to his residence.
Upon his return, Chander claimed that he was threatened on the pretext of being framed in ED-CBI cases by the opposition outfit.
