Will Modi hang himself if Congress wins more than 40 seats, asks Kharge

Unleashing a bitter verbal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been maintaining that the Congress would not get more seats than what it won in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Congress Leader in Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday asked Mr. Modi whether he would hang himself if the Congress got more than 40 seats.

“Mr. Modi himself says ‘once more Modi Sarkar’. He says Congress wouldn’t get more than 40 seats in this Lok Sabha election. If Congress gets more than 40 seats, would he be ready to hang himself at Vijay Chowk in Delhi?” he asked at a public rally in Kodadur of Chincholi Assembly constituency. “India is a house built by the Congress. Sitting in the same house now, Mr. Modi is asking us who we [Congressmen] are. He has announced ₹6,000 to poor farmers. It amounts to ₹16 a day. It would be of no use to any farmer,” he said.
