Veteran filmmaker Harish Shah dies at 76 in Mumbai

Veteran filmmaker Harish Shah died at the age of 76 in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. He had been battling throat cancer for a couple of years.

Confirming the tragic news, the late filmmaker's brother, Vinod Shah, told PTI that he (Harish Shah) had been battling throat cancer for the past ten years. He further added that the filmmaker died at 6 am.

Last rites of the producer-director were held at Pawan Hans crematorium on Tuesday afternoon. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the funeral was attended by close family members only.
