Two Dead, Three Hospitalised as BMW Hits Rickshaw in Noida

Noida: A speeding BMW crashed into an R-rickshaw in Noida on Thursday, leaving 2 people dead and three people injured, police told ANI. Two occupants of the car have been taken into custody while the third one is on the run.

According to police, the incident was reported at around 6 AM on Thursday near Sumitra hospital when the e-rickshaw was on its way from Noida City Centre in Sector 32 to sector 12-22 Chowk, carrying five people, including the driver when the BMW rammed the rickshaw from behind.

“This morning at around 6 AM, an e-rickshaw was hit from behind by a BMW car under police station Sector 24. 5 people were injured in the accident and were taken to hospital. Two people were declared dead,” senior police official Manish Mishra told ANI.
