SC Calls for Independent Inquiry Into Hyderabad Encounter Case

The Supreme Court of India The Supreme Court Thursday said that there should be an impartial inquiry into the killing of four men accused of raping and murdering a veterinary surgeon in a police encounter in Hyderabad.

The three-judge bench headed by Chief JusticeChief JusticeChief Justice of India S A Bobde, said, “We are of the considered view that there should be an inquiry. Let there be an impartial inquiry. There are aspects of your version that needs probing.”

The bench, also comprising Justices S Abdul Nazeer and Sanjiv Khanna, was hearing a PIL by Advocates G S Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav.
