Nishikant Kamat dies at 50: Ajay Devgn to Riteish Deshmukh, Bollywood bids teary farewell

2020 has been a horrible year and it just keeps getting worse. Force and Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat has passed away at the age of 50. He was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis. He was admitted in Hyderabad’s AIG Hospitals.

A statement from AIG Hospitals confirmed his demise and read, “Initially, we started antibiotics and supportive medications upon which Kamat showed improvement, but his condition soon deteriorated with progressive liver dysfunction and drowsiness. He was immediately shifted to the ICU, where his general condition gradually declined.

Since yesterday, he developed respiratory failure and hypotension. Despite maximum efforts, his condition deteriorated eventually leading to multiple organ failure. From Monday afternoon onwards his vital parameters started declining and at 4.24 pm he succumbed to his illness.
