Khushbu Sundar resigns from Congress, likely to join BJP today

Popular actor-turned politician Khushbu Sundar resigned from the Congress today, six years after joining the party. Ms Sundar, who took off to Delhi on Sunday night, is likely to join the BJP today, sources.

In her resignation letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Ms Sundar said she was being "pushed and suppressed".

"Few elements seated at higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed," she said.
