Earthquake Of Magnitude 3.2 Hits Punjab

New Delhi: Earthquakes have become very frequent across the world; in India also, tremors are felt nearly every second day. An earthquake has now struck the Banda Sea region in Indonesia and according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The earthquake was about 370 kms southeast of Ambon, Indonesia and is said to be at a depth of 146 kms. However, despite an earthquake, no tsunami warning has been given by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PWTC). EMSC had initially reported it as magnitude 6.8. No reports of casualties are known as of yet.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 struck 507km ENE of Dili on Wednesday, the National Center for Seismology reported. The quake occurred today at 10:22:57 IST, and the depth was recorded at 45 km. “Earthquake of Magnitude:6.9, Occurred on 08-11-2023, 10:22:57 IST, Latitude: -6.35 and Longitude: 129.59, Depth: 45 Km , Location: 507km ENE of Dili, Timor-Leste,” the National Center for Seismology posted on X. No reports of casualties are known as of yet.

Since morning, two earthquakes have hit parts of India also. An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 hit North Bengal on Wednesday morning, the National Center for Seismology informed; The tremors were felt around 10 am in West Bengal’s Alipurduar district. “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 08-11-2023, 10:51:58 IST, Lat: 26.58 & Long: 89.36, Depth: 14 Km , Location: Alipurduar, West Bengal,” the NCS posted from its official handle on X.
