Delhi Police on Thursday submitted a chargesheet in Rohit Shekhar Tiwari’s murder case at the Saket Court. His wife Apoorva Shukla was arrested in the case and is in judicial custody.
A senior police officer said that the 518-page chargesheet has statements from 56 witnesses, including family members, employees of the house, police officers and other officials.
Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of former U.P. and Uttarakhand Chief Minister N.D. Tiwari, was found dead in his room on the afternoon of April 16 by his house help. The case initially handled by district police was transferred to the Crime Branch and the post-mortem report stated that he had been strangulated to death after which a murder case was registered.
