Late actor Irrfan’s son, Babil Khan, came out in support of Anurag Kashyap after #MeToo allegations against the filmmaker surfaced. Actress Payal Ghosh, in an India Today exclusive, claimed that Anurag Kashyap had misbehaved with her.

Sharing a note on Instagram, Babil wrote that the #MeToo movement should not be misused as it would ultimately diminish the movement’s credibility and the women who actually need its support will be left in the dark.

The note read, “It’s a shame that an invaluable movement like the #metoo is misused in such a malignant manner against a person that has actually inspired equality in an excruciatingly patriarchal industry. We now live in this strange age where it is easier to create a 'truth’; and not manifest the truth. I pray that we evolve.
