Zaheer Khan warns Gautam Gambhir: Creating insecurity will hurt you

Former India pacer Zaheer Khan is not a fan of Gautam Gambhir's current approach with the Indian team. The India head coach's experiments with the ODI line-up in the build-up to the Champions Trophy have not gone down well with the former pacer. Zaheer, in his latest video with Cricbuzz, has warned Gambhir against creating insecurities in the team.

Zaheer's comments come in the backdrop of Shreyas Iyer revealing that he was not part of the original playing XI in the first ODI vs England in Nagpur. Shreyas' revelation had left the fans baffled, who had questioned Gambhir for dropping a batter who had scored 500+ runs in the ODI World Cup 2023.

The experiment with Shreyas was not the only puzzling move from the head coach. India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul not batting at his preferred No.5 spot has also raised eyebrows after Gambhir decided to bat all-rounder Axar Patel ahead of him.
