Yogi Orders Crackdown On Illegal Infiltration, Directs Creation Of Detention Centres In UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed all district magistrates in the state to adopt stringent measures against illegal immigrants and ordered them to set up temporary detention centres to lodge the infiltrators in the state.

The chief minister stated that national security, law and order, and social harmony are the top priorities of the state government, adding that any illegal activity will not be tolerated.

“The chief minister has directed that each district administration ensure the identification of illegal immigrants living in their area and initiate action as per the rules," read the statement.
