World Para Athletics begins with grand ceremony

The World Para Athletics Championships will be held in the Indian Capital Capital Capital City of New Delhi between the 27th of September and the 5th of October as the nation gears up to host competitors from over a hundred nations in a sporting spectacle.

The hosts have fielded a record 73-member contingent for the event in Delhi and will look to improve on their previous showings at the showpiece. The upcoming edition of the games will feature 186 medal events with 101 events for men, 84 for women and a mixed category event.

India managed to pick up 17 medals at the event last time around in Kobe, Japan, in the year 2024, and will target an improved demonstration on home soil.
