Welfare assistances disbursed to commemorate death anniversary of Ambedkar

Minister for Municipal Administration K. N. Nehru handed over welfare assistance worth ₹37.75 crore to 2,058 beneficiaries at a function held here on Saturday to commemorate the death anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar.

Under the Department of Adi Dravidar Welfare, 87 beneficiaries received assistance amounting to ₹26.58 lakh, while 10 beneficiaries were issued patta and welfare cards under the Tribal Welfare scheme. Additionally, 43 beneficiaries received family cards under the Department of Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection.

Collector V. Saravanan, Mayor M. Anbazhagan, Corporation Commissioner L. Madhubalan, and other senior officials were present.
