Welfare assistance distributed to beneficiaries on Equality Day in Dindigul, Theni

Welfare assistance was distributed to the beneficiaries in Dindigul and Theni districts on ‘Equality Day’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar.

In Dindigul, Minister for Rural Development I. Periyasamy and Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R. Sakkarapani distributed welfare assistance worth ₹3.51 crore to a total of 998 beneficiaries at the ‘Equality Day’ function.

The Ministers paid floral tributes to the portrait of Ambedkar. The welfare assistance was distributed in the presence of Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan, Dindigul MP R. Sachithanantham and Vedasandur MLA Mr. S. Gandhirajan.
