Watch: Utter chaos as unruly mob loots mall in Karachi on opening day

The grand opening of the Dream Bazaar Mall in Pakistan turned chaotic after an unruly mob stormed the venue and vandalised property apart from looting the store.

A businessman of Pakistani origin, who established the mall in the Gulistan-e-Johar locality of Karachi, had announced a special discount on the day of the inauguration, according to local media reports. In order to avail the offer, thousands of people thronged the mall, attempting to enter as soon as it opened its doors at 3pm on September 1.

Several videos capturing the scenario of Dream Bazaar Mall on its opening day went viral where the massive crowd rushed in to get discounts. The staff, in the meantime, attempted to control the crowd and restore order, but in vain.
