Vaibhav Suryavanshi sets all-time record in Vijay Hazare Trophy
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history and solidified his name in the record books during Bihar's first game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, December 21. Since his debut in domestic cricket, Vaibhav has been setting records and has now achieved another milestone in Indian cricket.
At just 13 years and 269 days old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is now the youngest Indian player to participate in List A cricket, surpassing Ali Akbar's previous record. His List A debut at the age of 14 years and 51 days in the 1999/2000 season marked the beginning of a promising career. Vaibhav holds the distinction of being the youngest Indian to play in the Ranji Trophy, List A cricket, and represent India at the U19 level.
During the IPL 2025 mega-auction, Vaibhav made headlines by securing a spot with the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore, becoming the youngest player to attract a bid in an IPL auction. If he makes his IPL debut next year, he will set yet another record as the youngest debutant in the tournament's history.
