A court in the United States has sentenced a gay couple from Georgia to 100 years in prison, convicting them for sexually abusing their two special needs sons they adopted.

The two accused, William and Zachary Zulock, have been convicted without the possibility of parole, The New York Post reported, citing the Walton County District Attorney's office.

William Zulock, 34, and Zachary Zulock, 36, adopted the two brothers from a Christian special-needs agency. The children are now 12 and 10. While William served as a government employee, Zachary worked in the banking sector. The couple raised the boys in the Atlanta suburb under the guise of a happy family. However, the unspeakable atrocities the boys had been suffering at the hands of the couple were unearthed much later.
