A British police officer was filmed kicking and stamping on the head of a man lying on the ground during an arrest at Manchester Airport, sparking widespread outrage and a protest outside a police station.

A police officer involved in the incident has been suspended by the Greater Manchester Police (GMP), and the matter has been referred to an independent police complaints watchdog.

The video depicts a chaotic scene in an airport car park, where several officers armed with tasers restrained two men on Tuesday (July 23).
