Trump wears ‘happy Trump’ pin beside US flag at White House oil meeting

US President Donald Trump drew chuckles on Friday after being spotted wearing a tiny pin of himself dubbed the Happy Trump pin, only to declare moments later that he is never happy.

“Somebody gave me this. Do you know what that is? That’s called a Happy Trump,” Trump said when a reporter asked about the accessory during an event in the White House East Room, where he was meeting oil executives to discuss future US control of Venezuela’s energy industry.

The pin, worn just below the traditional American flag lapel pin, features a cartoonish version of Trump with an oversized head and an open-mouthed grin — a look many online quickly likened to a bobblehead.
