A tiger killed a seven-year-old boy near the Trinetra Ganesh temple in the Ranthambore National Park, situated in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district, on Wednesday (April 16, 2025) when he was returning with his family members from the temple. His body was later recovered from deep inside the forest.

The tiger emerged from bushes in the Amrai area on the temple’s route, grabbed the child and dragged him away, disappearing in the forest towards the hills.

The incident created panic among the devotees who were returning after prayers in the temple. The people rushed to Ganesh Dham police post to report about the attack, after which the forest officials reached the spot, evacuated the devotees and closed all the routes leading to temple.
