Three arrested with over 5 kg ganja

Excise officials in Hyderabad seized 5.260 kg of ganja in two separate operations and arrested three individuals in connection with the illegal transport and sale of the contraband.

In the first case, Secunderabad District Task Force (STF) personnel arrested Malavat Rajender and Indal Rathod of Nirmal district, who were transporting 4.140 kg of ganja in the boot of their car near Bowenpally.

During interrogation, the duo admitted to regularly sourcing ganja from the outskirts of Adilabad and selling it to customers in Hyderabad. The seized contraband, along with the car and three mobile phones, was handed over to Secunderabad excise police.
